Introducing our staff            
 
Kelvin Dent            
 

Kelvin Dent, Chief Executive, was appointed in March 2000.

He is a Solicitor and previously held posts with the Snowdonia National Park Authority and Gwynedd County Council.

His interests include walking the mountains and trying to make music.

Kelvin has two grown up sons and he and his wife have lived in Gwynedd for over 30 years.
Nigel Thomas            
 

Treasurer (Part Time) to North Wales Police Authority since October 1997.

Born and brought up in Llandudno. Educated at John Bright Grammar School 1958 to 1963. After a variety of employment, he joined Llandudno UDC in 1969 qualifying as a Certified Accountant in 1971.

Following a period with Denbigh Non County Borough and further qualification as a Municipal Accountant was appointed Treasurer of Glyndwr District Council in 1973 a position held until appointment to Denbighshire County Council in 1995 initially as Head of Finance and subsequently Director of Finance.

Nigel lives in Denbigh and is a member of the Presbyterian Church of Wales and interested in the outdoors, keep fit and the arts.

Elizabeth Ward            
 

 

Elizabeth Ward joined North Wales Police Authority as Diversity and Projects Co-ordinator in April 2006.

She previously worked in the Force’s Legal Department as Civil Claims Administrator before leaving to study for the Law Society’s Legal Practice Course in London.

Having worked for some years in a London law firm, she returned to North Wales and now lives in Old Colwyn with her husband and young daughters.

Her interests include travel and reading.

Wendy Moore            
 

Wendy Moore was appointed as Office Manager for the Police Authority in June 2004.

She previously worked for the North Wales Magistrates' Courts Committee as a Personal Assistant to the Justices' Chief Executive.

Wendy lives in Penmaenmawr with her husband, and her interests include walking, reading and gardening.

Rhian Hinks            
 

 

Rhian Hinks joined the Police Authority in October 2000 firstly as a Secretary, and now a Committee Clerk.

She has previously worked for Gwynedd Council in the local Education Office and two local schools before joining a local firm of solicitors as a secretary for seven years.

Rhian is originally from Llandudno Junction but now resides at Connah’s Quay with her family.

Sara Wood            
 

Sara Wood joined the Police Authority in June 2008 as part time Committee Clerk to cover Rhian Hinks’ maternity leave.

Sara also works for The National Trust as their Carneddau & Glyderau Property Administrator.

She lives in Dinorwig and her interests include walking, reading and cycling

Meinir McCall            
 

Meinir McCall joined the Police Authority in October 2005 as Committee Clerk and is now the Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive and Chair of the Authority.

She previously worked for the Department for Work and Pensions in their Rhyl and Wrexham offices.

Meinir lives in Denbigh close to her family.

Her interests are reading and keeping fit.
