Mr Jones has been a Magistrate for 26 years on the Anglesey Bench and Chair of the local Licensing Panel. He is also a Member of the Youth Panel.

Mr Jones has been a Magistrate Member of the Authority since 1998 and was Vice-Chairman during 2001/02. He is Chair of the Members/Officers Working Group, member of the Neighbourhood Policing Committee, the Professional Standards Committee, and the Standards Committee, and is a Members of the Community Safety Partnership.
