Mr Wynne was born and educated in Denbigh and is married with one daughter.

He is a graduate of the University of Liverpool and a retired Technical Manager at British Steel with expertise in technology of coated steel. He is a Member of the Institute of Metals, Chartered Engineer and has a post-graduate diploma in Management Studies. Mr Wynne is a Magistrate sitting on the Flintshire Bench, a member of the Youth Panel. He is also Vice-Chairman of the Governing Board of St Brigid School in Denbigh.

Mr Wynne’s outside interests include being a Member of Trelawnyd Male Voice Choir and Meibion Marian, gardening, walking, reading (political biographies), drawing and painting.

Mr Wynne has been a Magistrate Member of the Authority since February 2001. He is currently Chairman of the Human Resources Committee and Officers/Staff Liaison Panel and is the Authority’s representative on the APA’s Policy Group and Training Liaison and HR Policy Group. He is also a Member of PAW.
