The Police Authority has a duty to maintain an efficient and effective police force and it is the role of the Performance Review Committee to scrutinize and challenge the performance of the force against the requirements of the Policing Plan which contains national as well as locally set objectives and targets.

We have an annual work programme agreed with the Force in order that we systematically review the key areas as they relate to the policing plan.
