Councillor Craddock was brought up initially in Corwen, Denbighshire and then Cheshire before moving back to North Wales prior to his marriage in 1972. He has two daughters and a son.
Councillor Craddock has spent his working life engaged with retail businesses across the north providing stocktaking and business transfer services, being self employed since 1983.
He was elected as a member of Wrexham County Borough Council in 2004 and serves on the Social Affairs, Health and Housing, Finance Scrutiny Committees and the Planning and Audit Committees.
Councillor Craddock was appointed to the North Wales Police Authority in May 2008. He has lead member responsibility within the Police Authority for Children and Young People, Sexual Orientation, Vulnerable People, and Disability. He represents the Police Authority on a number of Police Force Boards and the Wrexham Community Safety Partnership.
Apart from politics, he is currently chair of Wrexham and South Clwyd Liberal Democrats. Councillor Craddock is involved with Wrexham 41 Club following his membership of Round Table and is a keen gardener. He is a Member of The Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) and is currently assistant clerk for the local Meeting in Wrexham. He was recently appointed to the Crime, Community and Justice Group of Quaker Peace & Social Witness, a centrally managed part of Quaker work.
