Homophobic Hate Crime…..Don’t Tolerate it…Report it!

North Wales Police Authority has welcomed the publicity campaign developed jointly by North Wales Police and Stonewall Cymru to encourage victims of homophobic hate crime to report it.

The drinks mat campaign was launched at the National Eisteddfod in Bala in August. It bears the bilingual message:

Homophobic abuse physical or verbal is a criminal offence North Wales Police will not tolerate homophobic abuse...and you shouldn’t either...report it

Homophobic Hate Crime…..Don’t Tolerate it…Report it!

North Wales Race Equality Network and Stonewall Cymru dip a Toe in the Water

North Wales Race Equality Network (NWREN) and Stonewall Cymru have come together to work on a small information gathering project based in North Wales.

The 'Toe in the Water' project creates an opportunity for people who identify themselves both as lesbian, gay or bisexual and black minority ethnic to share and reflect on the positives and negative impacts around being an individual within both minority 'communities'. There is the possibility that a bigger project will develop from this in the future.

If you are interested in this project, please see the letter attached for further information.
