Tal was appointed Chief Executive in May 2010. He has served as a Chief Officer with Barnet, Hackney and Doncaster Councils, specialising in strategic policy, performance management, regeneration, communications and scrutiny.

Tal is a fluent Welsh speaker who was raised in Cardiff but has strong links to North Wales as his paternal grandparents lived in Rhos on Sea. He is married and a father of two sons and one daughter and is delighted by the opportunity to relocate his family here.

Tal’s interests include hill walking, cycling and playing computer games (but not all at the same time).
