Roger was appointed to the Police Authority in October 2008.

He spent the majority of his working life prior to retirement in Local Government, in the area of Environmental Health and Public Protection.

He has also spent over 30 years in the Scout Movement in North Wales helping young people develop their potential and to become good citizens whilst enjoying themselves in a range of activities. Roger has enjoyed walking and camping with the Scouts – twice walking or cycling the whole of the coast to coast from Whitehaven to Sunderland and this year taking part in the hike and ride along Hadrians Wall.

He is a grandfather to a 16 year old grandson and granddaughters aged 14 and 9, who live in the USA.

Roger enjoys golf and travelling.
