Police Property Act Fund

The Police Property Act Fund comprises the proceeds of sale of property which has come into the possession of the Police and whose ownership cannot be ascertained.

Responsibility for the distribution of monies from the Fund is delegated to the North Wales Police and Community Trust (PACT). PACT is a registered charity which was launched in 1998 and seeks to support local initiatives that reduce the fear of crime and improve community spirit.

PACTs Charitable Objectives:

Since 1998, PACT has supported many grass-roots community projects and continues to develop new initiatives to support local communities and local policing teams.  All of this work is governed by charitable objectives that our Trustees observe:

  • Promotion of an enhanced quality of life through the prevention and reduction of crime and the fear of crime and the protection of people and property from criminal activity
  • Promote education of drug and alcohol abuse to reduce crime
  • Promote road safety as an integral part of life of the communities of North Wales
