Policing Pledge

The Policing Pledge tells you the level of service you can expect to receive from your local police force.

It includes a pledge to answer calls promptly, hold regular meetings in the community to set policing priorities, give updates on local crime and policing issues and provide information on how you will be supported if you are a victim of crime.

The North Wales Policing Pledge also includes a pledge to provide a genuine language choice for service users and an assurance that the Welsh and English languages have an equal status in all of North Wales Police’s dealings with the public.

North Wales Police Authority fully supports the introduction of the Policing Pledge and will monitor compliance with the Pledge through regular meetings of its Performance Review Committee. The following document details how the Police Authority will be scrutinising each part of the pledge.

Monitoring the Policing Pledge

In addition to monitoring how North Wales Police responds to the Pledge, the Authority itself will constantly review how it provides service to the public to ensure that we too are compliant with the Pledge.

The North Wales Policing Pledge is available in English, Welsh, Polish, Urdu, ArabicBengali and Cantonese.
