Professional Standards Committee

As a guardian of the public interest, professional standards are vital to police authorities when seeking to ensure that forces deliver an effective policing service to communities. The Professional Standards Committee (PSC) has responsibility for monitoring police complaints, civil claims, quality of service, custody matters and overseeing improvements identified in Independent and Managed Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) Investigations. Our emphasis is ensuring that the Force provides a satisfactory response to complaints and learns from them to improve the experience of people in the future.

The Committee is responsible for the monitoring of the overall quality of services delivered by North Wales Police, and is committed to monitoring the priority identified in the annual policing plan;

“Deliver a quality service that meets the needs of our communities”
